Hello, I'm Mallory (or Mal), a yoga teacher based in Bristol, UK and I've been practising yoga for eight years or so. What brought me to the practice was a sense of curiosity and a desire to gain strength and flexibility. Little did I know how much joy, grounding, contentment, and community it would also bring! My passion is to make yoga more accessible and welcome to all bodies, ages and abilities so that more of us can experience a bit more balance and peace in our everyday lives.
I completed my 230-hour foundation plus Yoga and Spiritual Development Training in the study of, classical yoga philosophy and accessible Hatha practices, with the Shanti Center training school in Bristol and Italy.
I have also completed an additional 60-hour intensive Teen Yoga Training with the Teen Yoga Foundation. This incredible course gave me foundational yoga therapy training and a level three sports coach accreditation. I learnt very specifically how yoga can help with a young person's anxiety, low mood, focus, pain literacy, and regulate thier nervous system—the list is endless!
It is important to me to honour the roots of an accident tradition that has so much wisdom to offer us in our modern-day lives on and off the mat. In the same breath, I aim to offer a practice which is accessible to all through the use of props, posture variations, my language, and class pricing.
